The UK’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), has announced its participation in Nucleus Expo Hampshire 2016, the science and technology themed event set to take place at the University of Southampton Science Park on Wednesday 21st September.

Dstl works to maximise the impact of science and technology on UK defence and security through a number of programmes, including via engagement with commercial enterprises. The organisation hopes to create awareness of its collaborative initiatives at the event. Such projects include: Easy Access IP where Dstl offers IP to potential partners without charge to support uptake of the IP; Dstl’s commercial exploitation through Ploughshare Innovation Limited; and the Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE).

Andrew Seedhouse, Head of CDE said: “Dstl works in a number of ways to improve the UK’s use of science and technology for defence and security purposes including consultancy services, research, risk management, engineering and technical work. We are keen to enhance relationships with private sector organisations and Nucleus Expo provides us with a good opportunity to promote the benefits of working with Dstl and to make vital mutually beneficial connections.”

Dstl will be supporting the Aerospace and Defence exhibition zone at Nucleus Expo.
